Fall/Winter Sports

We enjoyed watching different friends/family play in their sports' games this fall. First, the boys got to attend cousin Jake's football game. Then, we had soccer with Conrad, Caden, and our friend, Ethan (he is a senior this year and we are sad we won't get to watch him next year). We also got to see cousin Michaela play volleyball. Last night we went to friends, Caitlin and Courtlin's basketball game. It was Senior night and Caitlin's last home game. Conrad is finishing up his Savannah league baskeball. Both boys will start Upward Bound this coming Saturday. The soccer pix turned out much better since they were outside, and all of the gyms were dark!

Nephews and Niece

What a fun week we have had here with Peyton and Connor, both 3, from Ohio and Eliana, 10 months from Texas (and their parents, too! :-) Tad, Michelle came last weekend and we got to enjoy several days with their family and then Kevin and Trena came this weekend. We got to experience Connor and Peyton's first bowling attempts, and we got to celebrate Eliana's first Valentine's Day with her! And, Chuck was excited that her first pancakes were made by Uncle Chuck (and in the shape of an "E"!). That is what she is eating in the picture.

On the Job!

Chuck is now officially an agent and has had quite a crazy last two weeks with the transition and details of everything. Here is a picture of him in his new office! I asked him to take one for me--and this is what he sent for me!. I guess I am going to have to go take the picture I want! Our friend, Patti, is his Customer Service Representative. We were all amused when the first inquiry for insurance on his first official day was for someone wanting to insure their "port-a potty"! Really! He was able to write the policy and was glad to have it, but we thought it was funny!

Results!

Well, after four weeks of turning down the heat by three (COLD) degrees, I got the bill today. I realized that just three of the four weeks were on this bill, so the first week was before we turned down the heat. Last night, after I had made it through Jan, I was busy trying to get a lot of things done and it was very cold in here, so I turned the heat back up just for the night, and it felt GREAT!
Several of you have told me since then how low your thermostat is, and how cold it is where you live, too.
Anyway, my bill only went down $29 which was very little in relation to the amount of the bill! We are disappointed. We haven't decided yet where our thermostat is going to end up. Maybe if I stopped doing laundry, running the dishwasher, and the vacuum, I could save more! :-)
